In a decisive move, Edgewater leaders have advanced a plan to ban the controversial practice of using treated wastewater, known as "toilet to tap," for drinking water. This decision comes as a proactive measure to prevent the potential implementation of such practices in the future.

While this method is not currently in use anywhere in Florida, the Edgewater commission believes that establishing a ban now will help address community concerns and protect public health.
