Volusia County will hold a free Hurricane Expo on April 18 at the Daytona International Speedway to provide residents with preparedness resources ahead of the 2026 storm season. The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offers practical information on emergency alerts, evacuation planning, and property protection.
This year’s expo arrives as the Atlantic hurricane season is less than two months away. More than 50 vendors, community organizations, and government agencies involved in storm response will be on-site at the pavilion area of the speedway, located at 1801 W. International Speedway Blvd.
Organizers expect a significant turnout following the previous expo, which drew more than 1,500 attendees. The event features live safety demonstrations and educational presentations from guest speakers, designed to offer specific guidance on staying safe during a storm.
